HEMCO｜ステートメント
子どもが拾ってきた小枝を削り、
自作の〈こえだペン〉でインク画を描いています。
木が成長し、小枝や葉が落ちる。
そして落ちた小枝を子どもたちは宝物のように拾う。
その小枝を私が削りペンにして絵を描き、
誰かに届く。そして自然に還元できるような活動をする。
作品は、その静かな循環の一部として生まれています。
〈こえだペン〉によるインク作品と、半乾きの絵具層を削って像を立ち上げる作品を、別々に制作しています。
いずれも、余白の呼吸と、目には見えない気配を大切にしています。
それぞれの制作のなかで、
仏や祈り、言葉になる前の感覚が、静かに立ち上がってくる瞬間があります。
完成を急がず、手の動きと呼吸のリズムに身を委ねながら、観る人の心に、ほんの少し立ち止まる時間と、静かに整う感覚が残ることを願っています。
日々のなかの絵について
誰にでも、自分の空間（部屋や心）があります。
普段の暮らしのなかで、ふと目に入る絵が、日々の活力や、愛おしさを思い出すきっかけになる。
私は、そんな絵でありたいと思いながら描いています。
HEMCO | Artist Statement
I carve small twigs that my children have picked up and draw ink paintings with my handmade “twig pens.”
Trees grow, branches and leaves fall. Children collect the fallen twigs as treasures. I carve them into pens, draw with them, and the work reaches someone—all part of activities that return to nature.
My artwork is born within this quiet cycle.
I create ink drawings with a Koeda Pen, and separately, works in which images emerge by scraping back semi-dry layers of paint.
In both, I value quiet presence and the breath of negative space.
Within these different processes, there are moments when Buddha-like figures, a gentle sense of prayer, and feelings before words quietly come forward—more felt than believed.
Rather than rushing toward completion, I follow the rhythm of my hands and breath, hoping the work leaves the viewer with a moment of pause—a quiet sense of balance.
About living with art
Everyone has a space—both a room and a mind—to live with.
I hope that an artwork glimpsed in everyday life can gently restore vitality and remind us of love.
I paint with that wish in mind.
